Thank you for your interest in the American School of Ben Guerir!

The American School is a welcoming and diverse community of learners located in Ben Guerir, Morocco, with enrollment of around 250 students from over 25 countries!

Let me tell you a little bit about our academic offferings….

ASB offers an immersive American educational experience under the rubric of Common Core standards, with a high emphasis on English fluency. ASB’s academic program features core subjects of language arts, mathematics, science and history/social studies. Additionally, ASB offers foreign languages, computer science, physical education and arts and music.

In elementary school, ASB challenges our students to excel in Mathematics and English through the i-Ready curriculum and learn across its many platforms to create predictable and scalable. Additionally in the elementary school, ASB offers the award winning InspireScience curriculum which pairs hands-on experiments with textbook learning for deeper mastery.

In high school, ASB offers Advanced Placement (AP) classes, which are university level classes with external standardized testing, under agreement with the College Board of the United States. Students are encouraged to select from AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Pre-Calculus, AP Computer Science Principles, AP French, AP American History, AP Human Geography and AP World History. We are preparing our graduates to attend universities of their choice in the United States, in the United Kingdom, in Europe, in Canada, in Morocco and other countries.

ASB offers support to a wide range of learners….

Our on campus student support department offers student support and school counseling to help students achieve their academic and behavioral goals. We are proud to be able to accommodate many learning differences through smart collaborative planning with teachers, targeted milestones for personal growth, and tailored lessons that offer the time, skills, and extra support needed to help our students succeed.

ASB is a very fun place to learn both on campus and off campus…

At ASB, learning goes beyond the classroom. Extracurricular and co-curricular activities enrich the ASB educational experience. ASB students participate in field trips that complement their educational program, engage in sports activities, and represent the school at events including academic and athletic competitions. Additionally, ASB offers ExtraC’s an afternoon program featuring fun activities for its elementary and upper school students.
